I'm considering these two monitors. The HP says it's compatible with Macs. I assume I can hook up the HP to a new Mac? Do I need anything special? How about graphic cards?

My other choice is an Dell:

yes, either one will work. mac's made in the past, say 5 or more years just use DVI connections. pretty much any LCD monitor now uses these.

Thanks, jpea.
Next question, I'm trying to configure a Mac Pro and there's 6 options for graphics cards:
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB (single-link DVI/dual-link DVI)
2 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB [Add $149]
ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB (2 x dual-link DVI) [Add $249]
3 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB [Add $299]
4 x NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB [Add $449]
NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 512MB, Stereo 3D (2 x dual-link DVI) [Add $1649]
I don't think I'll be using more than the one monitor. I don't play video games, but I'll be doing a ton of Photoshop, Flash and basic stuff.
Is there any benefit to buying anything more than the basic NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 256MB ?

if those are your main functions for the vid card, then yes, the basic one will do quite well.

i went with the stock card, and it's been fine for heavy after effects, photoshop, and illy work. plus, it's totally quiet as it doesn't have a fan.
