The phone works, but the lcd is damaged. And I need to retrieve my address book, that is saved on the phone...Any ideas? PLEASE

well the new razor² is out. Go get that and let me know how it is, I've been waiting to hear some user reviews.

yep. But I need to retrieve my address book. Help me.!!

when you get a new phone at the store, they transfer the addy books for you. Just take it in and see what they say
- sonic0
yep. only that they wont be able to access the address book without seeing the lcd. Hence, I rather get it replaced.

sonic, did you save your address book to your phone or to your sim card?

Saved on the phone. thats the problem. Dont knw how to retrieve it now...lcd is totally damaged..phone is working tho.

... I would bring it to the place where you got the phone.
I am sure this is not the first phone this has happened to.

Use someone elses Razor and memorize the keystrokes to copy all the numbers on the phone to your Sim card. (This is not typical NT condescension, just the only thing I could think of)

surely you can find another razor to know what buttons to push to transfer your contacts?
Don't know what carrier your one, but many syncing apps around

That sounds like an good option. Use another RZR to mimic commands to copy address bk onto sim. Will do that. Thanks.
What If i want to still use this phone or keep as backup. Is there a place i can repair or get the lcd part replaced ? The body (heart) of the phone still works well.

maybe...but would fixing it really be worth it?
- sonic0
if it is under 100 bucks. it will be worth getting it fixed. It is a gsm phone, and i can use it internationally with any sim card.
- madirish0
just because it is GSM, does not mean it is to be used on all networks. is it tri or quad band? i think tri...

you can browse yr phone via bluetooth and grab yr contacts that way

i had a new screen installed on a kyocera earlier this year for the same reason, just take it a used refurbished authorized dealer, someone there should be able to disassemble replace and reassemble for you cost 15 bucks in labor and the part
the yellow pages are your friend

Awesome. That is helpful. Will do that. !!!
