I had a client who wanted to set up his own adwords account. He put in all his ads and the score is low because it doesn't match the site content. Can anyone tell me if I need to do something to get Google to crawl the site again asap? Also, since I missed the first part of the process, why would Google crawl the site before the ads are fully optimized? There would have to be a way to quickly recrawl then.

just go into the adwords account and use the words and phrases suggested by goggle.

So that will scan and see my recent site updates and should suggest keywords that match then?

It must have picked up the changes. It is working great, quality score must be fine and we are getting clicks. I am suprised as on the site they say they scan landing pages once per month. I did submit the site last night but even that usually takes a while.

hard to say with google.
i just stick with their recommended words and it works fine.
they give up the goods because their getting paid so of course they want you to have the most used querys.

I wanted to start small. Up to 3 ads targeting one page with matching content. He started 11 groups targeting 6 pages and tons of keywords right away so it was a little more overwhelming at first.

I think I did it backwards from what you do.
You design your sites content, then use the use the words and phrases suggested by google for your keywords and refining your ad. Correct?
Since this guy set up all the ads/words exactly how he wanted first the site didn't match and needed to be updated to coninue using them.
I had no control over the first part of the process or setting up the groups.

that sounds more involved for sure.
adwords is a whole nutha profession.

Any idea why there could be a slow down from one day or the other.
I updated the text last night to get it running. He later had me change the text which I thought was lower quality. Today seems slow so far.

Your right. It's like an encyclopedia of info to learn. It definitely is a job in itself.

yeah, Im digging the pattern too. Thanks for the answers though. You really helped to clarify a few things. Much better than digging through tons of web pages and not finding anything.
