Is there an easy way?
Uber have a bit of cheat in a scale & rotate stylee - but looks good.... http://www.uberagency.com/
I cant think of any good examples (although check out floral stock motion pattern here: http://www.youworkforthem.com)
but you know the ones I mean, properly growing little stems with bursting buds and general organicness...
how's it done? ... a couple 'o' tweens and a mask here and there or do y'all reckon its proper painstaking frame by frame magic????
Anyone got a 'convert yet another floral vector into growing animation plugin' ??
Or maybe just some advice on the best way to animate one? (flash)
cheers

vector paint?

yeah

well just to expand on that...
The easier way would be to do it in AE using vector paint, and then export.Or, yeah you could break down your vector images into simple parts. Leaves, stems, and what have you. Animate individual masks over each.
Cumbersome, but should work.

hmmm - i've started that way, broken down all my little stems and currently shape tweening - masking. V cumbersome but quite therapeutic.
Vector paint? i have not heard of this... I will investigate...

Looka round on the Creative Cow site, and tutorialized.com.
Shouldn't be hard to find them.
If you know your way around After Effects, i won't be hard to figure it out after playing a bit. It behaves like an animated paint tool, which can mask the layer it's on.
