I would also let him know you know what happened. Guys like that think they are slick and will continue to do so. It might not change his way of thinking, but at least he'll know that you know...

A friend of mine just got dumped in the best/worst way possible.
Hanging out in a bar he saw a girl he had been seeing all summer. She saw him hanging out with another girl and she found out that they had also been dating.
She called him over and said "Hey, I have something to show you". She pulled out her cell phone, scrolled to his name and deleted his number in front of him...
