Hello! I'm looking at the letter a!
Some fonts, like Century Gothic have a different symbol for an a than say Helvetica.
I've found that a 'Century Gothic' a is called single-storey.
Wondered if anyone knew what the other one is called?
Also some info on why there are two different forms would be good too. My Google searchs are baron!
Thanks

"story or storey An upper horizontal portion of a straight or curved letterform part. The term is often used in describing character or letterform glyphs. A script 'a', for example is usually one-story, whereas an Old Style 'a' is two-story. Similar terminology has been applied to 'g'."
