Are there any good software solutions for online corporate brand identity presentation? Features would include easy content management, file vault (logos, photos, templates, sources, etc), showcase/gallery/archive, configurable levels of access for users (agencies, freelancers press etc, ie. an agency would only accesss photos relating to their assignment) and so on..
Any recommendations?

yes. Plone.
http://plone.orgspecifically, the user permissions and handling of a wide-array of content types, coupled with those permissions are what it excels at deilvering.
i have developed several of these for very large orgs in the mannor you are outlining, and it is used currently for this in very large instances for a multitude of org sizes.

Thanks Madrish! I am just trying to learn what plone is.. some kind of python solution?
Anything more specialized, brand display - focused (read: sellable to client)?

sure. all of this is is totally sellable to clients... i do it a lot.
Plone is an application server built on Python and ZOPE that is very robust. it is the combo of these with a UI which sets it apart from say building a pure ZOPE site.
it is *extreemly* robust by default. it also has the benefit of both wide multilingual abilities standard and a very large, prolific development community.
if you need/want people in ireland doing this, let me know. i know several.

Cheers madrish!
I am just looking around if anything new is available. Further functionality I am thinking of is easy assignment of files to relevant description pages, download tracking, possibly project planning and management tools with project dedicated file storage, display and versioning. A photo manager with thumbnail preview serving files in predefined resolutions would be a nice touch..
A solution I once used had a shopping basket, you'd grab photos, relevant logos and flas and download them as a single zip package. Can you do stuff like that with Plone as well?
