I just wrote our a whole window translation there before realising who posted this in the first place. That was a waste of time :S
There are probably a few tutorials on H&Js on Google but it's really down to usage and personal preference.
I usually click OFF Auto Hyphenation and do it manually if I can, leaving those settings alone.
Also click OFF Single Word Justify and have a flush zone of about 10mm.
I also usually reduce the Max Space percentage to about 150% as it can produce some ugly gaps in text.
As I said though, all preference and usage. The book 'Making Digital Type Look Good' has example text and H&J and settings in it, lets you see what changing the settings does.

Here's that translation anyway in case anyone's interested:
It's the 'Edit H&J' window. Translations are :
Left side:
Auto Hyphenation (checkbox)
Smallest Word
Minimum Before
Minimum After
Break Capitalized Words (checkbox)
Hyphens in a Row (dropdown)
Hyphenation ZoneRight Side:
Justification Method
Space
Char
Flush Zone
Single Word Justify (checkbox)

Oh, and above the seven boxes at the top right are 'Min, Opt and Max'.

Exactly. Why didn't I think of that?
