Heh, something like that, OSFA.
Those days of giddy excess are over, though - PSB is now relegated to an interesting weekly diversion, rather than sum-total of creative output, like it had been at some points this year :/
God, I hate reality.

more fool him then, eh?
theres a tool in illustrator that could literally do it in seconds!:P

(Aug 14 07, 06:26)You could do so many things using a program instead of using Illy. Like creating vector images with automatic tools/plugins, etc.
It may have a similar outcome, but I guess it gives the creator a different degree of satisfaction when creating something by hand.

well, let's bring sexy back then my man. Damn that sounded sooo bad.
Let's make it interesting, I remember crouwel mentioned something about invloving more people, prizes and even teh QBer.
- Jaline0
True.
Whilst his style has been used to death and over killed as much as Builds, he still produces beautiful artwork that blows people away [click slide 3]:

wtf does Crouwel have to do with it? He's on another bloody hiatus from NT and I don't think has involved himself in the PSB for a a good 6 months anyway.
Lanky Duch curmudgeon that he is - screw him and his mood swings.
hegh hegh hegh...

No, I tried that when his stuff first started getting popular. After hours of faffing in Illy, I came to realise that the only way I could do it would be by hand - but I point-blank refused to believe he did it all by hand.

Si was in the year above me at uni but he wasn't doing anything like that at the time. I had a lot of trouble putting him and his work together when he started getting known for it and didn't think it was the same guy at first - he's quite a burly Leeds lad but his work is so intricate and laboured over but I can confirm it's all done by hand.
Except the stuff that isn't.
I think the Orange stuff was done in illustrator but don't quite me.

I'm guessing he was a champion doodler at uni, then? And I never envisaged him as a burly lad from Leeds - that's brilliant! :)
I think he must always start off with at least a rough hand sketch - his are very organic constructions and i found it very, very difficult approximating that straight to digital (even with a tablet).
Certainly, once they're lined out, it'd be easy and effective to transition to digital and finish.

In 50 years time Si Scott will be in a nursing home wearing paisley pajamas he designed himself but bought from Blanka.co.uk for £60
Whilst carving one of his famously intricate patterns into his mash potato with a fork, he says to himself "I'm still shit hot!"
- Dancer0
lol
Nairn I believe he draws them very big and reuces done.
