Try putting the whole thing inside a div that has the width set large enough too keep the 1234 to the side. That will keep it from jumping in smaller windows.
but im no genius.

maybe you should preload them using javascript
look inside the behaviors in dreamweaver

I think you can fix the shifting by adding all the content to a fixed width container, and keeping the relative positions of the content.

Looks good btw, nice layout.

I like it. Much improved.

Another solution for the 1234 images...
If you put them (1234 images) in a right floating div and your work in a left floating div, you can then place the right floating div before the left floating one in your code and if I'm not mistaken they will load first.

I don't explain very well. Heres an example

Is your "good friend" Justin? Just wondering since he's really into the css ;)
- k0na_an0k0
yes jaline.

The 03 and 04 wraps at 1179 wide. Personally I like that they wrap and I think it'd be a good idea to keep it the way it is, except to add the blue border on the right of the col3 div.

thank you much. it's greatly appreciated!
and i think i figured out a way to pre-load the images via css, but it seems like firefox is being a little whore about it and won't play nice, but ie is. bah!
it's not quite finished yet.
should i have larger images available to view?
and the friends, family, links section is no where near finished. i have many more of you guys/gals to add to the list. :)
thanks again!
- k0na_an0k0
hmm... i'll definitely have to think about that TR.
it's kind of a nice 'oops' when they wrap under 02 but if i want to keep it that way on purpose the spacing will need to be adjusted.
thanks man.
