Anyone tried one?
Thoughts?

what is it?

It appears to be a 'budget' tablet and pen, aimed at the 'electric handwriting' market... but I reckon it'll be pretty good in photoshop etc.
Just wondered if anyone has experience with them.
They go for about £60...

That does not seem like a lot for a tablet...
Then again, I have one laying around my apartment somewhere after I got one a few years ago and then only used it to play tic-tac-toe with people, haha.

so it's just a tablet with a play button? I don't get it

it looks to me like Wacom is just marketing a new, less art savvy market, no?
how is it different from the old Wacom tablets?

/* old thread warning */
Which one to get? The Bamboo One, or the Bamboo?

Ooh, it's one of mine... never got one in the end, so don't know.

I have one .. I use it all the time .. its awesome .. but if you are looking for something more advanced .. check out the Intuos 3 with the 6d pen .. its amazing

I have one, but I don't use it very much..

I have one, A5 size. It's good but I have a Intuos3 at work and it is much much better. but it depends on what you're after. The bamboo work just fine, just less "feel" and pression precision. And you can't use the advanced features of a 6d pen with it.
it's a good purchase but if you're planning to be a heavy pen tablet user I recommend the intuos3.

I own a Wacom Bamboo and its pretty good. Cintiq is very expansive so I choose the Bamboo even if the resoltuion if lower. Iam doing illustrations stuff with it and it works like a charm. I recommand it. If you are a full time illustrator i would suggest the Cintiq. For all the other small work and coloring, retouching stuff; Bamboo's good.

Wacom dominate the market, thats why they are selling those tablet so expensive.
