Illustrator cs3 colour problem

Hello Folks, I have a colour problem with illustrator cs3.
When i copy objects from cs3 and paste into photoshop i get jagged different colour edges:
This does not happen if i use illustrator CS 1 into photoshop CS3.
All colour settings appear to be the same. Anyone know what the problem is?
Any help would be much appreciated.

preferences > file handling/clipboard > copy as pdf/aicb, preserve paths checked 'yes'
try that...

Oddly enough, I had this problem with CS1 and never solved it. I tried all combinations of clipboard preferences in Illustrator. I only got anti-aliased edges if I exported a PSD from Illustrator.

Hello GreedoLives thanks for the tip but am afraid that hasn't done the trick...
I have been playing around with and I now think it may be photoshop that is the culprit I have copied from Illy CS3 and to photoshop CS1 with no jagged bits! I was wrong before, illy CS1 to photoshop CS3 also produces jagged bits...
most confusing. Any idea whether there are any setting i can fiddle with in PS to solve?

Weird! - It seems that the jagged edges only appear when pasting into a CMYK Workspace!
It seems it used to do it slightly in CS1 but now it does it massively...
No idea why though.
