People interpret things how they want to, sort of what we were talking about at the show.

I think this was the bullshit Sinclair was talking about?
'Don't Believe His Hype
I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself, ever since that 'CIRCLE poster' tipped me over the edge I've felt compelled to alert people.'I don't care. I think Michael is a good guy and a thinking designer. Which is getting rarer and rarer.

Ignoring the hype/not hype factor....
That was a good issue albeit a little on the 'skinny' side (these past few issues have been lacking in the usual quantity OF quality, haven't they?) I really enjoyed seeing Place's process and thoughts, given that he's one designer i admire as well. So it seems like a very cool initiative from CR. Looking forward to more interesting 'collaborations' of the sort!

Yeah Jesse, agreed.
btw, it was good to meet you man. The Rambler is bad ass. :)

Same here tommyo, you as with Mike, Josh, all the peeps we had good chats with are genuine people that I respect.

oh man, thanks for that, this is more inspiring than the sound of 3 ex-tdr designers singing Good Vibrations in one's head...

Nup, TommyO - that's even more so his opinion!
So.. Sinclair you're saying his opinion IS bullshit? Would you really want to do that?
As a member of CR, you should perhaps consider how you engage yourself here - you don't need to fire fight every last person's opinion, lest you begin to undermine your own credibility.
Just sayin' - I'm a CR fan, keep up the good work (blogside, too!)

Totally...I was surprised at how un-pretentious that whole thing was. Lots of fun. Good folks.

fuck knows, but he's right the tshirts with the durations of songs on them or whatever are a pigging mess :/ did build do them yeah?.... mind you he's way better than anything I could do he he :)
- tommyo0
haha Kelpie. Kinda the deal with these online forums though right? In person I feel it might be a bit more 'Can you sign my sketchpad!?!'...online it's all about taking pot shots from the bushes.

The reasons Build is "name checked" quite highly in that issue is because the main feature was dedicated to A Month in the Life of a Graphic Designer - that designer happened to be Michael Place, so no real surprises his name appeared a few times...
And it wasnt a feature solely about him - it was looking at the day-to-day running of a designer's studio and included his recommendations of new talent, features on collaborators etc etc.
Just to straighten that story out.
