One of my images in my pdf file from Quark 6.5 is tinted red.
Whys that?
Its 300dpi CMYK with a clipping path. And has a white back ground under it in the Quark layout. And not tinted red.
2. How can you make a clipping path tighter in Quark. I cant draw wotrh shit in this program. The edges are always too sharp and have white areas around the image.
Thanks:)

create a tight clipping path in photoshop on your image and save out as an eps with the clipping path and have quark use that as the clipping path in the image rather than using the quark path tool. i can't help with the red tint though.

is the red tint a warning of something you should address pre-press?
- Momentum20
where are you viewing it when it shows up red?

what version of acrobat are you using? have you tried running a preflight? email me if you need help. hate to say it here, but i'm a quark user!!

Acrobat 7.
It's happened a few times.
Another thing that has happened before is it previewed fine at press quality but when saved to a smaller file size for email the colours changes.

try printing to a postscript out of quark and distilling it with your own set settings?

I'll try that.
