Anyone have an opinion on this brand or TV itself? Not sure of the brand, but it looks like a decent TV for the price.

I think they carry those at Bestbuy, you could check it out there maybe.

Thanks, I didn't see it on their website so I didn't know if they had them or not.
I saw the tv on QVC or something like that so I was a bit hesitant. Anyone heard anything on the brand itself?

The only one I could find is this:

I just got the Westinghouse 42" last weekend. 720 and 1080 resolutions on it look fantastic. Good colors and blacks. 480i / 480p leaves a bit to be desired, but I got mine for half what I would pay for a Sony / Samsung 42". Up sampled DVD at 480 looks mighty good, too.
If the quality of the 42" is any gauge for the Westinghouse brand - I would very much recommend it.
Go see it first on a showroom floor first if you can. Good luck.

i just bought one to give away as a prize at my stag. it's sweet and you can't go wrong with the price tag being what it is.
I've heard negative things about them breaking down and parts being really difficult to come by - but again... the price is right, so you're trading a bit off there.

my grandparents got a 32" 720p westinghouse. pretty good picture for the money. they got their's at best buy on sale.

Vizio tv's are getting slamming reviews too, they use LG displays and are being compared to big name tv brands. Pay half what you would for a Sony.

get the extended warranty with your savings. I'm buying a 37 this week.

Thanks, yeah I was definitely going to buy the extended warranty. I'm going to look into the Vizio, I was curious about that brand as well.
Thanks for the find Jaline.

I just love the picture of the Sharp HD LCDs...but thier price is off the hook...so I got mine as a refurb...I think it was about 70% off of retail...

Hesitant at first about refurbs...but 100% of all refurb units sold must get quality control checked vs. about 20% of off-the-shelf models.
Loving it after 6 months.

westinghouse is not a bad brand. vizios are good. look for ones that have the furuja (i can never rememeber the correct spelling) video processor. video processor is usually the main difference between name brand and no name brands. vizio is one of few exceptions but more and more no names seem to getting a good video processor.

My friend bought that exact model for $500 from Best Buy a while ago, it looks great...super sharp and really nice colors.
