Good Cheap Beer.
Does it exist? By cheap, I mean no more than 4-5 bucks for a six pack.
Specifically, something domestic. I'm not talking about some micro-brew.
Traditionally, I'm a beer snob, but if I'm going to slum it, what's good.. or at least not bad?

i'm partial to Pabst Blue Ribbon, and that's definitely cheap. Miller High Life ain't bad either, the champagne of beers, dontcha know.
PBR gives you the indie cred, MHL the blue collar honesty, you decide.
Plus, there's usually regional cheap beers available, like up here in New England it's Brubaker and Narragansett, i know down in Maryland there's National Bohemian...ask at the liquor store.

Yeah, I bought some Miller High Life last night. 16 oz. cans. Really, not too bad.

Natural ice > but its like water with a drop of beer taste to it...

always go for bottles, it just tastes better somehow. plus, if you're really slumming, they're handy weapons in a pinch.

good tip, although for whatever reason i like cans. but yeah, for fights, bottles are better.

when i'm slummin' it i too prefer cans. as for PBR giving indie cred - maybe at one time but now it drips of frat boy (to me anyway).
Tecate sells can beer these days.

i drink yuengling lager by the barrel-full.
$5.85 a six-pack and a good tasting beer.
yuengling porter comes in at the same price.
stay away from yuengling light. it's like drinking air.

really, frat boys have abandoned their bud lights for PBR? i'm out of touch!
i've always associated any light beer with frat boys.
- grunttt0
greedo - that might just be here.
- planet010
i've never heard of a lot of these. a lot of them are probably regional i'd guess.
I'll have to check out the Tecate and Modelo though.

just get yuengling 24 pack cans...ive seen those for 9.99 before

dos equis is pretty cheap too afaik, that's not bad either. All those mexican export beers are pretty decent actually. Up here we get Presidente as well, also worth a try.
