Best UI design

The powers that be gave me a new busy work project of suggesting best of breed (shudder) user interfaces in terms of usability and design. Any suggestions as to what you think are the best designed UIs? I only know software I've used.

the iphone interface
photoshop cs3s interface/layout. so wonderful how you can expand, collapse, move and modify the content.
google analytics
shit. i got a bunch of links at home i can't think of at the moment.
tivo is nice. xbox 360s is shite. psps interface is really well done.

virb had a nice ui for modifying the pages css.
joost is nice.

weird one maybe, but the messsages fuctions of basecamp are done well. not totally what you are referring to i bet, but very approachable for those who do not use online apps commonly.
just personally, i really dislike the joost UI.

it's got some coolness to it but what i didn't like was the hiding button in the upper right and it took me a while to figure out how to close/turn off the damn thing.

yeah, i can see it, but i think it is just preference, k0na. i cannot put my finger on it, but it just feels a little too 'cool guy 2.0' for me to really enjoy it. whereas something lilke the step-brother Skype does such a great job.
to that end, gAnalytics is so cool because they did not try to re-invent the layout aesthetic at all (IMO), but instead take a well-versed and flexible layout and accent the way content is displayed to the user; makes it very solid user experience.

'cool guy 2.0' hahaha... yeah i got that impression too. and i didn't care for their animating logo like that in the bottom corner. too distracting.

I'd go with Picasa - brilliant.

All 37 signals stuff is really clean and easy to use. Especially their forms. I second google analytics and picasa!
