I dropped my external hdd, it was an enclosed one, I got the drive out and put it onto another usb power device (to see if it was the drive itself or the power things in it) - and it's the drive that's not working. It makes noise louder than before.
It has 6 years of work, all my photography and my lolcatz. I almost cried.
Should I pull it completely apart like this:
