Anyone called Lady Bird must have been one hell of a chick.
Growing up in Texas we learned all about her, I've been to where she lived before at the LBJ Ranch outside of Austin.

Agreed mg33. I had the same experience as a child. One of the standard field trips in elementary school along with the Alamo and the Mission Trail.

I did a camping trip with my dad when I was 6 or 7, down to the Hill Country area where we went to:
Pedernales Falls State Park
Natural Bridge Caverns
LBJ Ranch
Enchanted Rock
Texas Capitol Building
New Braunfels and tubing on the Guadalupe (which I was absolutely terrified of. I hated water when I was a kid.)It was the first trip my dad and I took together, I think in our gigantic silver Oldsmobile. Did all the historical things down there, and that was right before he and my stepmom got marriend and fell in love with the Hill Country in Texas.
Now they live in New Braunfels about 5 mins. from the river and Canyon Lake.

Ha! I grew up in Boerne so I love the Hill Country. Good memories.

cool testpilot. I love it down there.
I grew up in the DFW suburbs and was fortunate to also feel like I grew up down south as well. Started going down there when I was 7.
We had land for a while that we'd camp on but they got rid of that to build a house somewhere else.
