Tell me about it tomkat, I've doing an annual report, and I've been dealing with a woman who I think they employ just to give me a headache.

Worse still it's public sector work, which is sooooo heavily constricted by guidelines and red tape, and commitees and....yadda yadda yadda!

The same shit here...
Doing a brieffing for a new building for the University for a client and a website, extranet and leaflet for another, and in two ones, at the other side of the phone are the same idiotic-big-tits-ignorant-office... of women, "personal friends" of local politics placed there to do a favour to...
Arghhh!!
And in summer time those kind of people multiplies for 10.

Know the feeling...
Am working on an annual report for a Zinc Mine & we got to go down into the mine itself & take photographs... long story short we got great stuff & when we went to use it the client-c*nt-boss-pr*ck says the report is too dark...
It's a f*cking mine!
The images are beautiful & show off the mine really well but this guy's got no taste & wants photos of happy miners working above ground that they shot themselves...
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

proper contracts and guidelines prevent this type of occurrence for time spent in communication/changes, you should be paid for such things
i'm happy when my clients want to "discuss" anything. i get paid. the phone records show just how much time they were using. *adds to bill.
i fail to see the problem.

That's all well & good but I have a gripe with someone who has no eye for interesting photography...
A client who doesn't want to showcase how beautiful their workplace can be through photography & show the reader what their working environment is actually like should be shot. ESPECIALLY when they want to replace breaker-page images with happy, smily, unattractive people on a hill in the Irish midlands...
I know, I know... the client is always right blah blah blah blah
BUT I was delighted with what I had done & thought I'd gotten him around to my way of thinking before he backtracked & turned the whole thing into a mine family photo album...
I hate this client.
