I'm hoping to move to london in a couple of months time...
Which areas would be good to live in (up to £125 pw) and the areas to avoid?

ive just found a house in leytonstone.. which i thought was a decent neighbourhood.. until bbc.co.uk starts telling me how theres an insane amount of knife related crimes anf gang violence... :)
if ur a designer chances are you'll be working in shoreditch.. so finsbury park, seven sisters, hackney, etc.. although.. im not that hardcore...
check gumtree.. i found a sexy TRIPLE sized bedroom for like 390pm.. but i would be living with anal dorks... its abit of a lottery :)

Stoke is expensive as fuck. So is a lot of hackney now. You will still maybe get a decent place in e5 for your budget. But it really depends on where you are working.

that's an okay budget, actually. you'll have to share, of course, but you shouldn't have trouble finding something in hackney.
e8/e9 are good still. bow, whitechapel, bethnal green all have some nice bits. if you want something a bit quieter, you can go to stepney or rotherhithe.

gui, i've been back for a week, i'm in manor house at the moment, which sucks balls. Should be moving into a really, really nice flat in Stamford hill in september though. A few beers would be sound though. Send us an email.
