Yeah I think digilee might have the wrong end of your stick.
I'm not entirely sure how you do this:
http://www.google.co.uk/search?c…..where it lists the contents of the bbc.
That's what you're trying to do right?
- Timson0
yup, that's right. found out this: http://www.google.com/support/we…
seems like you can't control them through the webmaster-tools but i'll bet there's some way to generate them through navigation structure.

how to get Google Sitelinks, here's some facts:
- Site ranks first for the keyword(s) that generate the Sitelinks listing
- Easily spiderable, structured navigation
- Fairly high natural search traffic
- High click through rates from the search results page
- Useful outbound links
- Inbound links from high quality sites
- Site age is several years or olderread more here: http://www.jehochman.com/article…

was I on the wrong track?
tim, mate, I apologise, but you're still on ignore for not doing your research in the first place!
- Timson0
no problem, glad i found out. sometimes i need a smack on the head before i actually take action. thanks for that.
- digilee0
you have to pay for listings like that, ya donut!
- Timson0
and under what service would that be?
- Timson0
having a bad day do you? sorry for asking.
just thought someone could share some experience on the subject. i'll go find out myself. thanks for nothing.
- neue75_bold0
it's 'thanks for noting,' but anyways...
- Timson0
witty aren't we?
- digilee0
no, im not having a bad day, i'm bored of all the lazy arse fucks that can't seem to do a simple bit of research.
you said that you thought using a sitemap would produce certain results. I answerd that you need to pay for those results.
how fucking obvious do you need it to be to work out that to get paid results on google maybe, just maybe, you need to check out google for their ad options.
IG-FUCKING-NORE!
that made me feel so much better getting that right off my chest!
:)
now .. back to having a nice day.
- weestu0
that listing isn't from a paid for ad, it seems to be a site that comes first for a search and is well indexed by google. Try searching for apple or microsoft and check the first result...
This is a good article on google: http://www.googlelady.com/156/26…

they surely aren't very generous with info on that subject. problem is i don't have a clue where to look for, thought sitemaps was it but no luck. i'll dig into that article now, thanks.

Assuming you mean what I think you do (the img host you used to illustrate it doesn't load), you don't pay for that.
They just show a bunch of popular sections on your site. It ain't easy to get them. I have no idea how but I've spent months trying to get them...
