Well features aside and all the iphone crap. I'm going to get a new phone. And I think I found a couple really nice ones, but I think that this might be my next phone:

I'm torn between LG Prada one or this one.
Obviously, I'm not looking for super fancy functionality, posssibly email, video playback, nice camera and the primary thing needs to be that it looks awesome. I want the phone to be stunnning design. Elegant and breathtaking and no I don't want iPhone.

Get a Nokia, but be prepared for it to crash/restart itself/turn itself off/generally not work...
They are all the same.

a friend had a prada phone and took it back after 22 weeks as it wouldn't work. the next one she got died after a day or so.
after the guy in the shop mentioned the fact that all the prada phones they have sold broke after a few weeks, she gave up and got another phone.

My g/f has got the Prada phone, she's had no problems with it at all.

While we're on the subject I that the iPhone is a bit shit, if you think about it.
Touch screen? So what, Prada phone got that.
Camera doesn't do video. Doh.
No MMS messaging. Double doh.
iPod? Already got one, plus what phone doesn't play music these days?
Photo's turn landscape when you 'turn' the phone. Mine does that, but you've gotta press a button. Wow, tough.
No FM radio, no TV out, no memory card slots... no fucking good!

Raniator, here's the latest kick to the ass of consumer with the iPhone. You can't use iPod capabilities of the iPhone unless you have service. HAHAHAH...so basically, unless you go AT&T non stop, you have a worthless device. Apple is being criticisized over this right now.
There are more and more bad reviews coming in from all over the place.

IMO, moving/sliding parts in a mobile device are a bad idea. there is no reason for them, and it is truly one more thing to break.
the nokia uses gold-lined sliders to make the electrode connection needed...... said sliders where out.

(Jun 28 07, 04:18)I'd heard about the iPod unlocking thing... sucks bad.
It's just an expensive brick unless you sign up for the 2 year contract. 2 years! I thought it was bad when the UK added 18months as an option on contracts, but 2 years is taking the piss.
When you break it down, it's just an expensive phone, that doesn't do all the basic things we are used to, with a fancy interface. So what?!
I really like Apple computers, but I think they've tried a little too hard and ignored the actual users with this phone thing...
Mind you, it'll still sell by the bucketload... everyone has been brainwashed.
Must.... have... iPhone...
Pfft.

Rainator, actually the brainwash part is no wonder to be honest. Apple have positioned themselves as a desirable brand and since they are that way, in reality, a lot of tech sites and reviews and communities all drool over anything Apple.
I've always said, the biggest Apple fans are like a sect. You can't insult the leader, everything they make is God given and they lack basic technology knowledge that prevents to understand why and how other products are actually superior to Apple products.
I've never met an Apple owner that didn't defend Apple. I mean come on, the products look cool, but dude it's a company, instead of you being critical over someone taking your hard earned money, people defend them. I will never understand that.
I always thought that Apple keeps screwing their customers the most. It's that ego thing that the company itself has. I've never seen where a company FORCES you to buy their Apple Care products so much, simply because everyone knows, no Apple care and you are pretty much fucked. Hey, it's $400 man, it's not $25.
You can see this with the iPhone too. People just go with of it looks cool not actually understand how much limitation they have. It's just funny that's all.
