Crap! They gave it to us hard, deep and dry.
oh well, no shame in being beaten by the best.
I'm cheering for Argentina in the final.

So, Mexico finally gets to play a real team and this is what happens??? Hahaha!
What team was this, Team C or D?
OSFA
(Jul 12 07, 05:08)brazil is the real team, they just had no players..

NIIIIICE

This 'Copa America' Brazil is not the real team. You'll see the real team in October when world cup qualifiers begin... I don't know if the team will improve, but at least you'll see known players.
Argentina deserves to win this tournament.

very true, I want Argentina to win, but they are currently playing with their A team while Brazil is missing Kaka, Ronaldhino, Silva, Ronaldo, Carlos.. missing Kaka alone is a factor.
Should be a good game regardless. Love that Robhino is breaking out of his shell and scoring a lot of goals. Hopefully he can bring some of that confidence back to Madrid.

(Jul 12 07, 07:09)exactly, as long they keep their "experimenting w new playr team" we may have a chance. but if they bring the stars.. there is no way in heeeeeaaawwlllll

Argentina right now, is a stronger team than Brazil.
First, they have been playing for a while now, there might be one or two new faces, but the core is the same. This is always a plus.
Second, They are playing; while teams like 'Brazil' think these tournaments are not important enough to send their experienced players, Argentina is building a team game by game that will only be strong and effective when qualifiers come. The more they play together...well you know.
Third, Brazil still doesn't have a real A team.

oswaldo was terrible, he should have had that first one. the second gol was brilliant, pinche messidona. the 3rd was no penalty, horrible call. buena suerte en la final.
- OSFA0
sorry simon, but yes, it was a penalty. Marquez never tried to go for the ball, he went straight for the body. The players knew it. Watch their reaction.
This brings me to a good point, how is this guy Marquez the captain of the national team? He's a sore loser and the first one to go crazy as soon as they start losing the game. The captain should be the one that stays cool and keeps his mates in line. This idiot was lucky not to receive a red card yesterday. Oh, and to add salt to the wound, Milito is going to Barcelona now. Good luck geting any action now Rafa...

buena suerte en la final.

(Jul 12 07, 07:41)de acuerdo - y Mexico muy de malas - did you see those shots that rang off the posts and crossbar - they could have been up 2-0. Would have been a completely different game.
Sin embargo...
Brasil tambien - muy de buenas contra Uruguay - did anyone see how the goalkeeper moved forward during that last PK? Where was the ref on that!
- OSFA0
it's Brazil. Those rules don't apply...
- simonando0
mexico deberia estar orgulloso. jugaron sin tantos titulares; borgetti, pardo, osorio, y salcido.
ps. i agree rafa is past his prime

(Jul 12 07, 08:10)true.
go USA in the sub-20
- moural0
The only reason Brazil got by Uruguay was because Carini was hideous. Unfortunately for Argentina, Abbondanzieri is just as bad.
I can see Argentina dominating the game and then giving up a cheap goal to send the match to penalties... which Pato will proceed to make a mess out of.

simonando
(Jul 12 07, 08:15)Ok. Borgetti- doesn't even know if he is starter or not in any team. He's been a sub most of the time in the national team.
Pardo- Good player, smart, and good at free kicks. Yes, 1 starter.
Osorio- Average player, nothing else. just watch Copa Oro games.
Salcido- hahaha please, you really think this guy is important in this team? you seriously think this guy is good? He is a joke... and no, he won't be a starter.
- simonando0
pardo & osorio = join stuggart last summer=bundesliga champions
salcido=joins PSV last summer=eredivise champions
all were key players for their respected teams. not sure how much more proof you need.
- CALLES0
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!
- OSFA0
I said Pardo was good.
Osorio didn't play much to tell you the truth, and Salcido....well.
Check the PSV games and count all the against goals that were scored thanks to him. He is slow, dumb and tends to lose his man, which in this case would be the opposite team's striker. Check every corner kick not only PSV but Mexican games as well, the guy sucks!
That my friend is Mexico's biggest problem. The defense is sloooooooooooooooooow, just check your boy Rafa.
- simonando0
rafa is not my boy, if you read my previous post you'd see that i said he's past his prime. i agree the defense was slow but it was in the middle not the right or left backs. as far as salcido i saw enough PSV games last season to see his potentional. he provides much needed width and pace on the left. as far as the gold cup i could give 2 shits about it. they all should have been at copa america but I understood. playing a full season in europe, world cup with no time to recover was a bit much to ask.
