Hey peoples... anyone else here based out of the Maryland/Washington DC area?? I've recently transitioned to full time freelance and I've been bored out of my mind working from home. I need to find some other area designers/developers to at least get together for lunch or something from time to time. I'm in Columbia, MD.

I live in Germantown, MD and work in Bethesda, with the oh-so exciting job of designing scientific textbooks and conference collateral for a local non-profit.

Enter response:Seems everyone is leaving the area. Once upon a time I had lots of creative buddies. Now they're all in NY and Cali.
Anywho, you say Adams Morgan, eh? It's been years since I've been to that area. May have to see what I can find.
Johndiggity, good luck in your travels. Amp, I feel for you, but your work is very nice. Sharif, I think I may take you up on that offer. I need to expand my network a bit more: http://www.linkedin.com/in/media…

ah my bad, misread the first post.

You are sort of correct Irish. Looking to expand my network of local creatives as I tend to get bored simply working in my home office and not going anywhere unless I have a client meeting. Drives me nucking futs. Hooking up with other creatives for lunch and random gatherings would be good enough for me.

yeah, its a tough environment, at least around baltimore. there just doesn't seem to be a lot going on, and the stuff that is is usually not well promoted. it's too bad because there is a lot of potential here.

I've noticed that myself John... That's one of the biggest issues with Baltimore. It's always had a lot of potential, but it's never quite gotten beyond that point. Sad really.
