Meat and dairies which actually taste like meat and dairy.
Food that I don't have to wonder "how on Earth do I wash that? Really though, how the fuck do you wash a strawberry before consumption?"
I also think "My, I'm paying a premium for what my parents spent their entire lives trying to avoid, trying to grow beyond. I have no idea what progress is any more."

better treatment provided to the animals or plants and no growth hormones used

hippies.

We're quite good with livestock growth hormones in the EU* - they're pretty much banned outright, which I find reassuring - god only knows what their long term effects are.
It's the pesticides on veg that bothers me - if it's designed to kill bugs, surely it's also got to have an effect further up the food chain too?
*not saying we're any 'better' than you guys - the UK's home of the whole feeding bits of omnivore animal A to omnivore animal B, with scant regard for the consequences.

I get bummed out that 'natural' food is so much more expensive. Other than that I have always loved the concept.

^ all of the above.

I rarely buy organic meat, but almost always buy organic veggies these days. the cost is not that much different.
Meat on the other hand is an entirely different thing.

I buy plenty of organic vegetables and fruit, but I still think of motherfucking eco-hippies when I hear it.
