I've lived in the LA area (South Bay) for about 5 years now and I know there's tons of cool things to do down here. The Huntington Museum, cliffs at Palos Verdes, Queen Mary, China Town, the San Pedro fish market, etc. etc. What other things are here to check out? Preferably things you can take a date to and be able to walk around and talk...

The Huntington.
http://www.huntington.orgI used to be a member and went all the time. Great place to walk around then settle down for a picnic. My favorite is the unsurpassed succulent garden.
