Can anyone out there recommend any goods books on branding? I'm not looking for a book full of logos more a text on some of the theory's behind it.

the book you have listed has very little on 'branding' if you are looking for something about theory
i'd check out some of these books

I recommend these two books. Both discuss some case studys and give a good insight into the branding process. Especially "Total Identity".

Saul Bass Monograph
not focussed on theory, but incredibly inspirational examples..
