A debate rages in my office about whether or not to list our url as:
I prefer the simple url.com without www. I find it hard to believe that some people don't know to enter www in a url.
But then I checked our site and it looks like typing url.com takes it to an error page, and not the actual site.
So, question is, what do you or your organization use as a standard rule? www or no www?
We're in chaos around here sometimes as far as getting people to adhere to certain standards.

If your server needs the www prefix, include it in your literature.
If it doesn't, don't.

Looks like you need to talk to your host or sys admin or someone and get the www problem fixed.
then just use url.com

it's only academics, IT scientists and spods that have a hard on for maintaining 'proper' vocabulary in url addresses.
the peons just want your product.
