Seriously, does this service work for anyone? I tried paying for it for the last month and all I get is not enough content errors or the player just stops producing sound but keeps playing, the client will start playing radio but just keep showing the 'tuning in' status. So far it hasn't even been worth the $3.

you pay for it? its always been free for me.
the only thing i don't like is the newer update wher eyou have to run their software for it to transmit. i like the old itunes plugin.
either way, i can see it evolving as a major form factor for music transmission and broadcast like the new on demand MTV or something.

It is hard for me not to see this as the beginning of the end...however, maybe user generated content will catch on in the main stream.

Hey D, how's work going over there? You like the place?

yeah pretty disappointing, another media megacorp buy-out.
but i guess ultimately this is why people start these projects.. so great news for them (although there's lots of grumbling that CBS got a crazy deal and it was worth a lot more).
