I'm not the best person to ask on this but I end having to do a lot of strange things sometimes with Flash. The only way I have gotten fonts to work with a stylesheet so far is to make tags with the style name.
Hi
MOMFont symbols in the library are tricky. You aren't alone in banging your head against the wall. Stupid question but you did check the bold box in the bold version of the font symbol correct?

i tried both - with bold checked and unchecked. it shouldn't be checked though, flash should treat those fonts as separate styles

no. it is possible to use two styles in one textArea.
Not sure how you're defining and using your classes though.

I am defining two font symbols, one out of plain, one bold version. I give those symbols names (standard and standardbold), set to export in 1st frame.
Then in css I tried many approaches - defined h1 and p, then tried with classes only.
Obviously I define font-family:"standard" for one and "standardbold" for the other.
I load styles into a TextField.StyleSheet object.
I set embedFonts = true for the textfield and assign predefined styles as styleSheet.Result of using both in one htmlText: only the first one is visible. They both export fine, I alternated them to check that.
