Boss has lost all client work through 'cleaning up' the server!
going to be spending the next 3 weeks RE-creating sh** I've already done (and was very happy with by the way)
We have a back up that mysteriously hasnt backed up my particular projects!!!!
What a day... just trying to keep the rage under control at the moment..
and...this isnt the first time.. why..why does he do it.

It happens all the time...I am still trying to figure out the best way to back stuff up consistently.

i burn a dvd of my entire work in progress folder every month and take it home. these people can't be trusted.

meh... im currently on 72 consecutive hours with no sleep, because ive been preparing for final hand in and graduation assessement of my work..
and so far...
-lost my car keys (cant get to screenprinters>no A1 prints on m show!)
-made a presentation book only for a dick colleague to spill coffee on it
-my sketchbooks re in loose sheets all over the room
-i finally made all the presentation boards this morning (23 of THEM!!!) and as i was backing it up my hard disk had a fit (and got totally fried!!! - so ive lost all the work ive spent the last 72 hours doing)
- now have no computer so have to catch up 8am-8pm in college
- oh and its in for tomorrow 4pm - (or no degree for me!!!)

yea... seriously, back up your own stuff... I copy all my project files to my ipod every evening before I leave work. It's a good habit to get into.
Trust me... I've lost work before too... we all have. it's not pretty.

with 3 hours sleep between saturday and thursday.. :D
picked books from binding, printe dmy work (took 2 hours)
spent 3-4 hours cutting up mounting board
and started mounting my show with 3.5mins to go..when out of nowhere 15 of my classmates (who had heard about the stupid pc thing) came from nowhere and saved the day.. helping me sticking velcro tabs n shit... work was mounted in 3 minutes flat...
it was weird.. it felt like that show, 'crystal maze' wher eu have to complete the challenge in a minute.. or ur fucked.. :)
\i foudn it a bit weird being surrounded by cheering colleagues as you mount you work up... (needless to say i bought 10 pints as thank yous :)

funny story to tell the kids though
computer fried the day before hand in, had to redo a whole years worth of design solutions overnight, and finished exactly on the bell.. no more ramble must go to bed :)
