get $5.00/mo hosting from hostgator.com, and upload any size file you want — or dropbox.

be careful of sendspace, especially if you're not upgrading to pro. Last week i sent a file to a client. When they went to the download page, there was an ad in the middle of the page that looked like a button that said "Download Now". Now, i knew better than to click on it (the actual download link was below the fold), but my client apparently did not and ended up unwittingly downloading a bunch of crap that their IT dept then had to clear. Client was livid that i had "sent them a virus".
i wrote to sendspace and they said they try to eliminate those types of ads, but due to the localized nature of the ad selling, it's hard to keep up.dropsend looks dummy-proof, but only allows you5 transfers a month unless you pay
- i checked back and that ad was replaced by one that didn't look like a DL buttonlocustsloth

if you're sending to a client, you really shouldn't be using a free service, that you have no control over. spend the $100/year for hosting and FTP it.
