i have a bit of question,
i have to make an animation for a fair in las vegas, but i have no clue of what the formats are of the screen where its gonna played, whats than the safest way to make it...anamorph? or ntsc 16/9 or make em both?i've been trying to get a hold of the guys there for a week now but no answer...

hello,
this is what i've used in the past and it works great everytime.720x540 for standard NTSC
854x480 for widescreen NTSC (i.e. plasma screen)i know what you mean about doing a safe size... i deal with these people all the time, (they usually have no clue how it's being presented)
so, for those instances; i start out with widescreen size, then if it turns out it isn't, i take the widescreen version and shrink it down to fit the standard width and it esentially gives it a letterbox look.
yeah you lose some screen size on the top and bottom, but it looks way better than empty space along the sides. besides, letterboxing looks classy.
