I'm going to the HOW conference in Atlanta in June.
This is my first major conference and I can't wait.

sorry to be a smartass... but when my old job used to send me to these, it was seriously like the nerd prom, and so much nerd drama... no one is there to actually work, they are there to hook up with other nerds. i was also surprised how cliquey the nerds were, they all knew each other!

Bring an open mind and try to network as much as possible but I agree with barb, you'll find a lot of nomad nerd tribes that travel from conference to conference.

i didn't mind going on the boss's tab, but i doubt i would ever pay out of my own pocket to go...
unless they promised only hot nerds were going this year
