Senior management who are never around and when they are they turn up late and go home early.
Even though they have tons of work that needs to be done asap all you see them do is watch dvd's and phone their bank.Now, I might be wrong, but isn't the whole point of having someone above you to lead by example, encourage and generally enthuse?

im well aware of the sort you mean. used to be like that at a place i worked at. at gp though everyone grafts which is good.
depends what their job decription is, if they are a manager, maybe they dont have to do any work other than watching that the monkeys don't run riot?

I roll in at 10, go home for lunch for 1+hrs at 1, leave at 6 go grab some booze and a bite to eat, and then come back around 7ish [once everyone is gone] and stay til whenever, people must envy me as well, but if they only knew the reality...

what's pissing me off is that we have a major event coming up and everyone is waiting for him to do his part.

I go to work around 10-11, and leave at like 2pm, since my boss has been away for 2 months.
But I still get my work done, and she'll be coming back next week so it's back to leaving at 4pm.
Not too shabby.

Today?
I strolled in at 10AM and I am leaving in 20 minutes (02PM) to go catch the UEFA Champions League Final, haha.
Really though, if it does not adversely affect you in a business/financial sense ... what do you care what anyone else does?
