flash - transparent scratch card effect

  afternoon nt'ers!

  can anyone tell me if this is possible and if so - how!?

  I need to create an swf to overlay on a html page and when the user clicks and drags I need the areas the have been dragged over to become transparent and reveal the html underneath the swf.

  Is that possible? I have found a couple of tuts/flas that do the scratch effect but it is not transparent and only shows another movieclip!

  any pointers welcome ;-)
