anyone using a macbook for ae or any other type of light video work? how's the performance? worth looking at the mbp? any experience with the cs3 suite on these things?

Mmmm, dunno about Macbook. It has the integrated Intel video card which prolly won't run FCP.
Yes, MBP works great for AE and FCP. Just got the new FCP 2 suite today. I have Web Premium CS3, but AE CS3 isn't out til July. CS3 runs just fine, aside from some bugs in PS.
MBP is awesome, but I am having some pains with lack of HD space right now.

was wondering if the lack of video card was only a hinderance to 3d/gaming. probably would be used for very light ae, no fcp, mostly web.
anyone have any bad expereince with flash cs3 on these?

Eh, just double check with Apple on Final Cut Studio 2 on macbook. It just came out and it states in the system reqs:
An AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card (Final Cut Studio is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors)

But then again I remember hacking some prefs to make Garageband work on my old G3.

FYI I have AE 6.5 on my MBP. It emulates under Rosetta, so it does render slower than my dual G5 2.0GHz, but no real issues.
I have a feeling when AE CS3 comes out in July, it'll run fine on a MB.
