  wel you could login to Windows remotely using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection... so you'd be using the MacBook Pro as keyboard and display..

  is there a freeware app that would work like that i have an older dying PC i just need to get some data off it before it dies and the monitor is on its last limb,
