I'm not really seeing anything on w3 that gives average fold positions or average site widths.

i'm having trouble tracking this info down as well. what's the maximum width you design to for 1024?
i've personally always done about 900px to be super safe, but i want to push it a bit more if i can. anyone have any insight?

Mine are pretty close to kld's. 980x600.
Amazon, CNN, etc are around 980 wide as well (when collapsed)

I go for just under 1024px, usually it's around 900px.
