thanks madrish, but that seems to just be an index of website designers?
All i'm after are some nice free vectors shapes

oops- sorry about that dude. loks like the site is down. used to be chock full of hundreds of links for vector art.

expend a bit of your own effort and dig around madirish's link, it offers solutions as diverse in scope as your question.
or - think about what you're actually after - 'nice free vector shapes' is vague beyond belief.

just my sodding luck

oh. oops. so it is.
sentiment still remains though.

what do you want?
one option, albeit not always incredibly useful, go to gettyimages and type in 'clipping path' as your search criteria, you can dl the low-res images, open in PS save as an .eps, import into Illustrator, embed the image, delete the background and you're left with the path to use as you wish...

ok, basically I'm designing a poster for this lass i've just started seeing for her birthday in 10 days.
But with work etc, I have jack-all time to put in the work i'd like to, so i'm looking for a bit of inspiration or quick fixes to get the poster rolling,
I was thinking of something quite organic, with birds plant etc etc,
does that clear things up?

awesome idea with the getty search, i'll have a trawl through,

NickW - why not nip around Harrogate with a digital camera and take pics of building details? There's loads of classic Georgian/Victorian-era architecture with exquisite ornamentation to trace up there, isn't there?
(just saying, because I thought of doing this myself just yesterday ..but, er, not in Harrogate, of course!)
