GIF Server Side Animation & Transitions

  hey guys,

  can you point me out to codes / components that will allow the creation of gif by comping together frames into an animation, and possibly allow transitions (fade, blind animations, etc etc)

  really old school stuff. but need to work with gif.. thanks
