We've been having some significant issues with progressive or streaming video playing correctly (or at all) in Flash sites we build.
I see some of the sites on the FWA that play these large videos pretty seamlessly. Full screen and all.
What's the secret to properly coding and implementing video in Flash?
Is is embedded, progressively downloaded or on a streaming server?
What's da secret?
thanks

gotoandlearn.com has an 8 part tutorial on it all - that helped me
: )as far as I know streaming servers are a bit old hat since the .flv...

I'm wrong apologies..
the way i understood it was that the whole streaming nature of .flv's sort of did the job of a streaming server...
However bigger sites DO use streaming servers.. ala:http://www.adobe.com/product...

ps, i'd actually like to know at what point user/bandwidth wise you need to host your .flv's on a streaming server though..?

Thanks milo. We've just been having issues on some of our projects that involve video. Trying to find the best solution that doesn't choke user's machines.
