Does anybody know if a power adapter to a 2001 PowerBook (first gen G4) would work with a 2006 PowerBook G4 (last gen G4)?
I left my adapter at the office... and I am NOT going all the way back. Found this old, roundish portable adapter in the basement from an ancient computer, and it looks like it would fit perfectly, but I don't want to set it on fire it by having the wrong voltage or something...
Not the usual NT nonsense in this thread pls.

I wouldn't recommend it, although if all the technical specs match it should work....in theory

I dunno, it might work, it might not.
There is but one way to find out for sure. It wont blow it up or anything, so give it a go.
PS. I claim absolutely no responsibility for any damages incurred!

Turns out they're not the same, the old one supposedly has a lower supply according to Google... but apparently the computer itself is intelligent like that, and shuts off if there's any trouble.
So what the heck.... I just plugged it in. Thanks anyway guys!
