...thinking about getting some cards done and was wondering about embossing...
...anyone have any recommendations of where to get quality and not extortionately priced embossing services? url's etc... greatly appreciated :)

we've done it quite a few times, but it was always something our printer outsourced

most print shops can get it done, just ask. I use this company for a lot of my printing needs.
