I don't know why, but I'd associated the Land Rover story with Iceland, not Sweden - I remember thinking "surely it wouldn't take that long to find on an island?"

I guess it was a blessing in some twisted way, because I have no where to keep it anyway! But the insurance guy explained to me how insanely easy they were to steal - I bet I could do it with any sharp pointy object within seconds!

When I get a) the car, and b) a proper camera.
I am possibly the worst photographer in all of northern Europe.
This short trip down the other day was *very* spontaneous, I couldn't take it anymore and had to see it. I called the dealer to make sure he was there during the day, got a ticket and two hours later I was on the plane down. A few more hours and I was back home again. So I didn't think of bringing a cam.
I don't even think my fiancee noticed I was away in Germany during the day, hahah

B6, can't afford a B7. B7 RS4 would be really awesome but i do not make that kind of money.

allroad- 2004- on. try to though, find one of the more rare 6 speed ones on lease trade in or something. good, good value there. additionally, the hair dryers on that thing are so prone to failure it is not even funny. i would be looking for one that has: a)been already replaced/upgraded to newer ones, or b) find one w/ bad and spend money to have them done.
it is a bitch to work on. oh- and watch the airbags- they will fail. there are some really reasonable and sweet coilover conversions for them now that take that whole thing out of the equation.

material, find a 04+ Ultrasport A4 Avant. Those things are super sweet. As for Allroads, find a late, late build. The air suspension on the early ones are a bitch and costs an arm and a leg!
vwsung, had no problems with my 04 S4 B6, even with a SC. Do it!! Find a stick. Everyone swears by the tiptronic but no matter what they tell you - it's crap.
