Can anyone recommend a good book on video production/editing??
I am not looking for the latest book on using final cut pro, but rather on the basic theory behind video production.I know there is a lot of trial and error behind it, and that it's also an art itself, so there is no obvious rules about it.
But if anybody could recommend a good book, about the subject, I would really appreciate it.
The main reason behind it, is that I will be editing a lot of videos on my new job, and I don't want to make anything that would be percieved as 'badly edited'.

Read "In the Blink of an Eye," by Walter Murch. Generally regarded as one of best, if not the best, title on the philosophy and craft of editing.
It is geared toward film, as opposed to broadcast, but same principles.
Fast read, too.
