Has anyone tried it? Is it good?

- Jaline0
haven't tried it but it looks very interesting.
- arseni0
Jaline, thats' exactly what i thought.
Would be great to hear from people who used it! There has to be something better than BBedit. Hopefully.

Didn't it just come out today? Give it time.
- arseni0
Ornj, oh, really?
A friend of mine shot me a link today about it :)

I'd love to buy it, but I don't have 10.4. :(
- heavyt0
it came out today.
I bought it, and have been using it a little.
It really has the best features of BBedit, Dreamweaver, and SubEthaEdit all built into 1.
If you have used transmit, you know that Panic makes some good software. I think i am going to retire my bbedit now.(still keeping textmate though for RoR)

Their website functions nicely.

hm first impression very good..
things I didnt like:
- seems a bit slow
- wtf doesnt it open XML and AS files? its a text app, no?
- CSS editor useless for meplus a lot of nice-to-have things, but this app is really nice!
79$... hmm

Im trying to use a trial... it's probably a stupid question, but i can't connect to any of the sites... im entering all the info i would normally enter to the ftp program, but it doesn't work. Is there anything special you think?
- tomkat0
firewall?
I got all my transmit favs imported, works..
- arseni0
Typographica, thanks a lot! Great article.
- akoni0
nice article, does seem a little slow.
The first impression I got, and when I talked to a few others is .as support.

Awesome app. I own Transmit and I'm definitely buying this one!
- myobie0
i think it will have a bright future
i am pretty used to my textmate bundles, but if they could get something similar (their clips are kinda similar, but very limited) i might jump on board
i almost wish i could use textmate as the textedit part and cssedit as the css part...that would win me over
- sherman0
Im looking forward to it but will give it some more time.
I agree it kinda sucks having all these apps open when you could do it all in one.

i hear ya on that last part about textmate and cssedit.
Myself and a friend of mine were actually talkinga bout how we would like to see something more like cssedit integrated with coda.
