i just launched this website today:
everything was working fine before, but suddenly the dropdown menu buttons "ABOUT" and "PROGRAMS" only work in firefox and not explorer. this makes no sense to me. can anyone tell me why??

i should add that the dropdowns worked in both firefox and explorer on my testing server:
- acescence0

tomkat, what kind of "messing with" do you suggest? i can't change the look of anything at this point.

are the versions of IE the exact same?
- leftwave0
yes, i'm testing consistently in IE6

by version i mean 6.x.x. < the numbers that come after the 6
i recently encountered a similar issue after updating FF to 2.0.0.3

Snap, time to bring back the old-school Haikus:
We say to I.E.
Such a bloated P.O.S.
Can't do nothing right.I.E. Six is sick.
How many hacks does it take,
to make this site tick. Why can't Explorer,
please be more like FireFox?
Just die a quick death!Damn you Microsoft.
Your non-conforming browser.

i just added this alert that only appears to ie6 visitors to my site:
"sadly, you are viewing this site through a crappy browser. IE6 is outdated because it does not support basic web functionality. as such, you are looking at a compromised version of the site. lots of other free browsers are out there. all of them are better than what you're using."
felt satisfying. made me happy.

People who use IE are outcasts, they do not count.
