hey folks,
i'm doing on screen graphics for a fake financial tv show that will be in a movie. wondering if anyone has some specific fonts that are used in broadcast tv graphics....think CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, etc. i know this is ambiguous, but thought some of the type pros might now some good ones.....

most on screen news type is typically horrid. i'd stay with something clean bold and simple. avenir, akzidenz, frutiger are probably good choices.

a lot of huge slab serif's going on. try Aachen. or even watch the discovery channel for a little bit, they have nice bumps/ins/outs.

i'm actually looking for something in the same vein as the CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Bloomberg stuff, but because of legal stuff, we cannot pretend to be any of these stations.....i am fabricating the station and financial show.....so it's not a real ID i was looking for, just suggestions on those crappy fonts they use....i'll put some examples online and send links in a second.
